Many people believe they are truly righteous and that is why they are in church. But what the preacher needs to remember is that St. Paul chose to know only Christ, and Him crucified.

Great Preaching Will Reduce the Size of Your Congregation
Yes, great preaching will reduce the size of your congregation. Remember there are wheat and tares in a congregation. There are sheep and goats. Goats will eat anything except that which is pure and holy. True doctrine is hard to swallow for a goat. Sheep are looking for the truth. Sheep cannot become goats. This is not conversion. Conversion is when a sheep recognizes he is lost and turns toward the Shepherd. Jesus said to Peter, "Feed my sheep. He did not say, "Hey. feed the goats!" If we love Jesus, we will stick to feeding His sheep with His food, the Word of God. nce
Welcome
This is a new blog from someone who has over 20 years experience in small churches as an ordained minister. Before that I have 10 years experience as a layman. I know something about small churches. I have been in the trenches. I pray that my reflections here will be a comfort to all pastors who have been called to serve small churches. I am not a know-it-all. In fact, according to the world, you might say I am a failure! I cannot boast of transforming a small church into a mega-church. I cannot boast of keeping the matriarchs, patriarchs and bishops happy. And that is the point. St. Paul did not seek to be a people please and neither should we. So here is a place, we can share pain and joy!
